Simple and effective advices on how to shop less, look better and be more confident in everyday life.

Don’t buy something for just one occasion.

I remember the time I was buying new dress every time I was going out with my girlfriends. Those dresses I hardly ever worn since. It cause the common problem “closet full of clothes but nothing to wear”. Try to think about where else you can wear this outfit before spending any money on it. Of course there are some occasions that call for one time outfit, it might be a prom or a wedding. However the time for huge ballroom dresses is gone and you can look for something more wearable.

Don’t keep something that doesn’t fit.

Make revisions of your wardrobe often and get rid of those jeans you might get into only after stomach flu. Useless items from a decade ago also should go.

Create a uniform.

Everyone has a favorite piece in wardrobe

that you would love to have in different colors. So what’s stopping you? My go to pieces are silk tank tops in black and white and couple of cotton and linen shirts similar in look but different colors. Saves a lot of time getting ready for me.

Try capsule wardrobe.

I don’t own a lot of clothes. It’s a known fact that women wear only 40-60% of the wardrobe on the regular basis. I invest in pieces that go well together and simply rotate them. I also think about how I can use these items throughout different seasons.

Don’t buy or don’t invest in trends.

Yes I know how it sounds, I’m writing a post on how to be in trend and offering not to buy any trend pieces. But it’s tru. Trends come and go, but classy style stays. I just think it’s foolish to buy those expensive ugly shoes and let’s be honest, they are really ugly.

Take care of your body. You know what never goes out of style? Healthy hair without splitting ends, manicure and pedicure, clear and clean skin, feeling and looking fit and healthy. And you know what’s interesting, you can get it free of charge! Just stick to routine. Easy like that. Take a habit doing manicure at home every week, pedicure every 3-4 weeks, cutting hair (there are multiple tutorials on how to do it even at home) every 2-3 months, washing your face every morning and evening, working out regularly and simply walking more.
